Dr. Thomas A. Parker
Founder
The Stress Rejecters Nation was founded by Dr. Thomas A. Parker, LPC of Riverdale, GA. He is a Licensed Professional Counselor and owner of Dr. Thomas A. Parker and Associates (TAPA), counseling and consulting agency. With over 35 years of counseling experience, Dr. Parker specializes in working with couples and individuals with anxiety related issues ranging from Depression, adjustment issues, and generalized anxiety to Post Traumatic Stress Disorder.
Dr. Parker is trained in Acute Traumatic Stress Management and is experienced in providing Critical Incident Stress Debriefing/Management. He is a retired Director of the Georgia Tech Counseling Center, Director Emeritus – Counseling Directors Association of the University System of Georgia, past President of the Georgia College Counseling Association, a former Peer Reviewer for the Georgia Composite Board of Professional Counselors, Social Workers and Marriage and Family Therapists. Additionally, he is a member of ACA, LPCA-GA and the LPCA-GAs registry of Certified Professional Counselor Supervisors. Dr. Parker’s work with clients affected by stress led him to create the comprehensive stress reduction process called Intra-Muscular Tension Control (IMTC). IMTC is the primary process in his Self Love-Self Care Stress Reduction, Relaxation and Sleep Aid CDs.
